The Group VP, involving 4 manufactures including one dating from 1871, is a French industrial group, built up in 2008 by its owner, Vincent Perrin.

This one concentrates in his circle; the world of clamping and more broadly hand tools with VPdolex, the hardware and fitting sector with VPmermier and finally the company VPbourg is specialized in industrial subcontracting (cutting, bending, stamping, surface treatments...) for industry, automotive, construction, tools...

Strong of 130 collaborators in the different activities of our group, we strive to reinforce our expertise in order to answer current and future client’s and consumer’s needs.

Clamping and cutting tools

The clamping activity is represented by our brands Dolex and Bessey; the first one, hundred year old brand, 100% made in France and the second one, clamping World leader’s property. So is the business line, Vpdolex, holding the European largest clamping range. The cutting tools linked to the building sector comes to complete that range.

Hardware and fittings

Doors, gates and shutters closing, cremone bolts, hinges, metallic fittings with the Mermier Saint Etienne and Map ranges, but also our storage kits, brackets and racks with the brand Système Plum range. VPmermier includes all our products ranges in term of hardware and layout.

VP GROUP

history

The Dolex company (St Chamond -France) purchased by Vincent Perrin in February 2008 sits the “first stone of the group”. Beginning of a diversification strategy with an aim: reinforce the company in its production expertise… in order to ensure the development. Dolex is known as the “vice specialist” from 1919, but has to become the “clamping expert”... the road begins...
2008

Vincent Perrin acquires, in 2009, the hand tools activity of its main competitor “Sambre & Meuse”. It was important to keep that historical brand in the national field. In the same time, the acquisition of “Outillage Roux” is done and helps Dolex to develop its product range... the lock-grip pliers are incuded in the company’s know how. Dolex celebrates its 90 years old at that time !
2009

Acquisition of “The Ets Bourg company” by Vincent PERRIN. As this line of business gets a strong link with local industry activity, identity should be remained and linked to the activity, so renamed as Bourg Industries. This activity has been linked to a Dolex as supplier for locking pliers components. The industrial integration is going on !
2010

Then the possibility to widen the global offer to the professional distribution sector become a reality with the Mermier Saint Etienne kow how, created in 1871 and specialized in hardware tools production for construction area. Three months after all the assets are transferred to Bourg Industries site., in Boën sur Lignon (France).
2011

In June 2012, the companies Bessey Ser and Sofra Ser are acquired and join Dolex in Saint Chamond six months after. Placing, then, the clamping activity of the group in another dimension to begin the European largest clamping range for and industrial company.
2012

An important year for the group… Vincent Perrin creates officially a group that holds his name… the GROUPE VP INDUSTRIES in order to reinforce a group synergy. Building a logistic base of around 2500m2 in extension of the fabrication workshop of Saint Chamond, allowing the clamping activity to get 6500m2 of usual area.
2013

Acquisition of Map Industries in Monistrol sur Loire (France), adding know how and products lines in the hardware field.
2014

Acquisition of the company FIPROFIL SARL and its layout activity with "Système Plum" brand. Furthermore, Bourg Industries gets, that year, the ISO 9001-2015 certification.
2015

At that time, Geoffroy Perrin, Vincent Perrin’s son, decides to join the Group. Getting involved in hardware activities sales and Marketing & communication. Then holding business development and management. Dolex celebrates its... 100 years and gets the certification ISO 9001-2015.
2019

New acquisition for the group… the company MDAO in Boën sur Lignon, specialized in of cutting and pressing tools conception. All activities and collaborators come to join Bourg Industries few months after. The group increases its technical knowledge.
2020

Groupe VP INDUSTRIES becomes Groupe VP and surfs on its manufacturing know-how and aiming to unify the activities under the same banner and simplify its "brand" communication.

From the visual representation of the VP Group, VPdolex (clamping with Dolex and Bessey, Ser being gradually swallowed up by Dolex), VPbourg (Bourg Industries, subcontracting activity) and VPmermier (hardware with the brands Mermier, Système-Plum, Map Industries) are born.

The development of VP Group is focused on efficiency and organisation before returning to the path of global growth in 2021... Adopting a true CSR policy, the group has joined the UN's "Global Compact" program since this year.
